Cherié Deane Biokineticist began as a small independent practice in 2010. Since then, it has grown into a dynamic team of three dedicated biokineticists, united by a shared passion for movement, rehabilitation, and improving quality of life.
Built on heart, purpose, and a genuine love for helping people, the practice was founded with a simple mission: to support individuals on their journey to better health. What started as a calling to guide patients through injury and recovery has evolved into a welcoming space where every person is valued and treated like family.
From day one, the focus has always been about more than just exercise — it’s about people. Every individual who walks through our doors brings a unique story, set of challenges, and personal goals. Whether you are recovering from injury, managing a chronic condition, or striving to feel stronger and more confident, your journey is met with patience, encouragement, and tailored care.
Today, Cherié Deane Biokineticist is a place where progress is celebrated, small victories are recognised, and healing takes place in a supportive and uplifting environment.

I am a dedicated Biokineticist with a passion for helping people restore movement, improve function and enhance their quality of life. After obtaining my Honours Degree in Biokinetics in 2008 from the University of the Free State, I went on to establish my own practice in 2010, where I have been serving my community ever since.
Over the years, I have gained extensive experience working with a diverse range of conditions, including neurological, orthopaedic, and chronic metabolic disorders such as arthritis, diabetes, and hypertension. My approach is patient-centered, focusing on understanding each individual’s needs and guiding them through a tailored rehabilitation journey.
I firmly believe that movement is medicine. Through a combination of evidence-based treatment, encouragement, and education, I strive to empower my patients to take control of their health and wellbeing. My goal is not only to treat injury or illness but to inspire lasting, positive change in every person I work with.
Be positive. Give guidance. Be the change.

I completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Biokinetics at the University of the Free State in 2020. After graduating, I spent four years practicing in Kimberley, where I developed a strong focus on sports conditioning, rehabilitation, and injury prevention. In 2024, I relocated to Bloemfontein, where I broadened my scope of practice to include geriatric care, pain management, and improving quality of life through movement. I am passionate about helping individuals regain confidence in their bodies by creating personalized treatment plans that are both practical and effective. I believe in treating through education, always finding solutions, thinking creatively, and helping every patient move toward their best possible health

Hi, I’m Leani Swanepoel, a qualified Biokineticist with an Honours degree from the University of the Free State. I was born and raised in Bloemfontein and currently work as a full time biokineticist, where I enjoy working with a variety of patients and supporting them on their journey to better health and function. I chose this field because it allows me to combine my love for sport with my passion for helping others feel and move better. I believe in creating a supportive and encouraging environment, and I aim to make exercise both effective and enjoyable for every individual I work with. My goal is to help you move with confidence, build strength, and improve your overall quality of life through personalised rehabilitation. Outside of work, I love staying active through gym training, hiking, pickleball, and hockey, and I value spending quality time with my family and friends.
